1. I think my formatter may have finally found a workable solution to the issue I have been struggling with for months. I have put so many hours into this ebook, it's ridiculous. When you've written a book about pixel art and how to create it... it's kinda important to have the actual art display properly, y'know? Unfortunately, after writing the book, having it edited, editing it again, polishing everything, getting alllll the images ready, checking and re-checking various ebook guidelines... it appeared that, despite every bit of advice I could get (including writing to Amazon for help), and all evidence seeming to indicate that it should work, the images would invariably be changed badly during the process of converting to the .mobi file. And the formatter I finally broke down and went to for expertise wasn't sure he could get it to work properly either. Seriously, you have no idea how insane I have been going over this. The final solution may not be absolutely ideal, but I think it's going to be workable. And, y'know, not defeat the entire purpose of writing a book about art. XD

2. My dog is a ridiculous goofball. Really, really ridiculous. And he's taken to draping himself across me at every opportunity even more insistantly than usual. In a 70-pound dog, this is amusing.

3. I think I may have finally worked out why my MC is dragging his feet over cooperating with what I want him to do in this crucial scene. \o/ Fine, you want more driving motivation? I'll give you motivation. I was going to give you part of what you wanted now, instead of saving it all for the end of the book, but if you're gonna get stubborn on me then you can just wait. (Annnd, this may also solve part of my nagging feeling that another character needed to play a more crucial role before the end.)

1. A nice, peaceful day at home. Particularly nice for being unexpected - I originally thought I was going to be spending most of the day running around town.

2. The trees are starting to turn color! I'm looking forward to seeing Fall really set in even more than usual this year.

3. I got a decent amount of writing done - and managed to catch a plot hole before it became a real issue (I hope). Also got some more painting done!

(Started typing this up yesterday, and then got too tired to finish them meme and had to get some sleep. So let's try this again!)

Because I've been sick, I actually ended up not leaving home for the last week. (Aside from walking the dog, that is.) Not actually a big hardship for introvert-me. But then, today, my whole family went out to Applebee's for lunch. Which was lovely. Aside from the reminder of jus why shouldn't leave the house, that is. *g*

Basically - my meal had french fries with it. If I'm gonna have french fries, naturally I'm gonna need to have ketchup. So, I pick up the bottle, and open it to squirt on my plate. Only, it doesn't squirt. Even before I start squeezing, it... explodes. On my plate, over the edge of my plate, on the table, on my skirt, on the front of my jacket, on the sleeve of my jacket... *sighs* So now I'm in the middle of the restaurant, and I've gotta clean the ketchup off myself. Start looking for a napkin, and... manage to catch my hand on my water glass. My very large water glass, which, since it is the beginning of the meal, is also very full. Water goes flying, ice slides across the table, into the walkway... and, since I'm at the back of a circular booth, there's really nothing I can do to mitigate the damage. Or, y'know, flee the scene. I think we had three servers, all told, helping to clean things up. In the middle of the lunch rush. 

Eh, maybe I should just stay home for another week. XD

She gave me the color blue - which happens to be my favorite. *glances at journal* Hehe, which may not be terribly hard to guess. ;D So, ten blue things I like, in no particular order:

1. My parakeets! <3 Pippin is still holding on - took him in for a second round of antibiotics today. Praying that they're helping...
2. Bright blue skies.
3. Jean skirts - practical and comfy, and go with a lot of things.
4. Scarves! I have a serious addiction to blue scarves. Keep needing to remind myself that I need to get ones that're a little more neutral colors instead. *g*
5.Jellyfish. Bioluminescent blue jellyfish. Well, bioluminescent fish in general, really. Awesome. (Speaking of, look at this leetle cowfish. Is that not darling?)
6. Blue M&Ms - why yes, they are my favorite ones. *g*
7. Flowers. All blue flowers, really. I love other ones too, of course, but... ^.^

2. Cut my leg with a bread knife. Yes, really. Was trying to put it away, dropped it, it bounced back up off the floor, and... *sighs*
3. Watched Numb3rs.
4. Worked on packing for the trip.
5. Cleaned.
6. Read some fanfic.
7. Replied to a bunch of e-mails.
8. Whole lot of laundry.

1. Not be so socially terrified and generally nervous and second-guessing myself. :P
2. Write more, and faster. And better, while I'm at it, lol.
3. Sing. Well, that is.
4. Fly - without mechanical assistance.
5. Heh. Actually be as smart as some people I know seem to be convinced I am. :P
6. Pray really well. I don't mean eloquently, just... more consistently, without becoming discouraged or distracted.
