Alrighty, rather belated response, but... I have been tagged by the lovely pol- ... kel- ... cirtholien ! ;D So here I am at last to do the 8 Things meme.

8 THINGS I LOOK FORWARD TO

1. Kelsi coming to visit! Eee! *bouncy with excitement*
2. Leaving tomorrow to accompany my dad, as we do every year, to a medical conference.
3. Visiting my great-niece Lexie again (probably tomorrow or Friday).
4. Really getting started on writing my new story.
5. Possibly buying a new sword on this trip? Yes, I've been feeling the urge to add to my collection. ;)
6.  Getting my black belt in karate. Someday.
7. Leaves on the trees! Probably happen with in the next couple of weeks. We actually have flowers now! Well... I've seen one kind, at least, in one place in the woods, so - it counts. *g*
8. Finding out the next step in God's plan for my life. Hehe, I'm rather torn between, "No, I don't want change!" and a kind of contented, excited curiosity, and... eh, utter terror.

8 THINGS I DID YESTERDAY

1. Spent an hour signing a bunch of, ahem, limited edition copies of the book my article's in, so it's all ready to be sold at the arts festival in June. Yep, they're printed now! *g*
2. Cut my leg with a bread knife. Yes, really. Was trying to put it away, dropped it, it bounced back up off the floor, and... *sighs*
3. Watched Numb3rs.
4. Worked on packing for the trip.
5. Cleaned.
6. Read some fanfic.
7. Replied to a bunch of e-mails.
8. Whole lot of laundry.

8 THINGS I WISH I COULD DO

1. Not be so socially terrified and generally nervous and second-guessing myself. :P
2. Write more, and faster. And better, while I'm at it, lol.
3. Sing. Well, that is.
4. Fly - without mechanical assistance.
5. Heh. Actually be as smart as some people I know seem to be convinced I am. :P
6. Pray really well. I don't mean eloquently, just... more consistently, without becoming discouraged or distracted.
7. Have an adventure.
8. Erm, have better taste in clothes? Ack, there are just so many!

8 SHOWS I WATCH

1. NCIS
2. Star Trek
3. Numb3rs
4. Stargate: SG-1
5. Stargate: Atlantis
6.  Star Trek: Next Generation (when I can - not too often)
7. LOL - any other Star Trek series I can catch when I'm at a hotel with cable (hmm, I do notice a certain pattern to this section...)
8.   ... um... America's Funniest Home Videos, sometimes?

Ouch! Cutting yourself with a bread knife doesn't sound like fun! I hope it wasn't too bad. *huggles* Hm, being able to fly without mechanical assistence would make it lots easier to visit the people I've gotten to know over the internet. *g* If you ever find out how it works, don't forget to tell me! ;-) Signing the books with your article in them must have been fun! :D

Hehe, no, the cut's not too bad, fortunately. :) Quite ridiculous, though, managing to cut myself that way...

Mmm, yes, being able to fly like that would not only be fun, but also an incredibly useful talent. I'd so love to be able to visit all my lovely friends that way! *hugs*

It was fun signing the books! Makes getting published feel quite official. :D

*laughs* Apparently, I have some sort of perpetual identity crisis....

It's so strange to think it's not green up there yet! He, I'm looking forward to experiencing a second spring...which will be so very nice, since our springs here are so short that if you blink, you miss them. It was nearly up to 90 last week. *pants*

*g* Yep, just when my family gets used to us calling you by two names... here's another one!

Hehe, yeah, it is so strange, to think about the differences in spring's arrival. Even here... The place where we are now isn't that far south of home, but it's easy to see the difference in how far along things are. Things should be getting pretty green by the time we get back, though! :D

Assuming you have your own copy now, I really want to see it while I'm up there!

Actually, I don't have a copy just yet - they had to finish getting signatures from some of the other authors. Oh! But did I tell you that Nef and Mom both ended up getting something in too? They weren't sure if they were going to, at first, but - yay! *is so happy*

He! Well, at least...as of right now anyway, I can't see this name transferring so well to RL. I think I may have exhausted my nickname potential--I seem to be permanently Polly on the internets, regardless of username. *g*

Aww, that's too bad...I would have loved to see it. *pouty* But oh, how awesome for Nef and your mom; I'm so glad they were able to get something in! *bounces* That must be so exciting for all of you! :D
