So, Nef's been a bit anxious about scheduling and everything she needs to get to today. As we walked the dog this morning, she was telling me about the dreams she had last night.

Nef: Yeah, we were just running around like crazy, trying to get everyone where they needed to be, and I had to drive the guys somewhere, but I never had the van when I needed it... It was so stressful. It was basically real life.

Me: Huh. I, uh, dreamed about Bucky trying to escape from Hydra, racing around in a building hiding in different rooms, trying to find a way out without getting caught.

Nef: ... Well. Apparently one of us is worried about something.

Hey, worrying about Bucky is a fully justifiable thing! LOL But I'm sorry Nef's going through stress.

LOL. I mean... he's got enough people trying to kill him. He probably needs more people worrying about him, right? Ah, brain... It's considerably more interesting than sleep-worrying about my own work, anyway. XD

(I think Nef will be doing considerably better shortly. She's mostly just been anxious about this afternoon, when she'll be talking with a class at a private school about what she does as a graphic designer. It's a small group and most of it will be helping them with a hands-on project, but any kind of public speaking is definitely not in her comfort zone.)

Oh man, I can actually relate to the terror of having to Talk to Students. Even when it's about something you know (for me, it was about writing as a career) and in front of a small group (for me, about 7-8 gifted students who were taught by an old college friend of mine), it's still doggone terrifying. I wish her good luck!!

I know, right? It's amazing how intimidating kids of any age can be. (And, honestly, for me even more intimidating than the actual talking/teaching part tends to be being Observed by another adult/teacher/parent while I'm doing it. As if I wasn't feeling self-conscious enough... :P)
