Okay, so I had an insanely cool dream last night. And now I so wish I could draw people, because I have this truly epic picture in my head which is so far beyond my ability to actually get it on paper that it's not even funny, and just - *flails*

And now, even worse, it has given me story ideas, which is definitely bad. I've been working along on my SGA story for the SNWCG challenge, but the thing is this could actually work for the challenge too (as a matter of fact, there are two different versions if it that could work), and when I started half-jokingly telling Nef about it she thought it was really, really awesome, and the more I talked about it... Except this is quite probably one of the most stupid, crazy crossover/AUs evar.

*headdesk*

Seriously? Who does a crossover between NCIS and Temeraire? No one, that's who. Because it's, like, impossible.

Except, the more I think through the details, the more I think it would work, and the more reasonable possibilities and fewer difficulties I see. Which is totally the opposite of most AUs I think of.

Okay, I'm gonna go write this now before I chicken out.

Ooo, a name for dragon Tony.... *rubs hands together* Maybe something impressively Latinate, or is that too elitist for Gibbs? Nothing is immediately coming to mind...I will keep thinking. *eg*

Hee, it is such fun. But really - as if I hadn't been intimidated before now by the idea of keeping them in character? Yeeeah. ;P

Ooo, for Tony's name - not to give away too much at this point, but Gibbs isn't the one to name Tony. But neither does Tony name himself, like Iskierka. So... while it'd be good to have something appropriately reminiscent of Tony, it doesn't necessarily have to be something either of them would pick themselves. *g* (And if it helps, at this point I'm planning on Tony's being black with red markings, a cross between the Spanish Flecha del Fuego dragon, and an Italian breed I made up.)

Seriously, I've been having squee-fits all day, just thinking about Aviator!Gibbs. And dragon!Tony. And, and... *hysterical squee-age*

This sheer awesomeness, sis. As crazy as it SOUNDS, everything I've read so far, and everything I've talked about with you, is clicking into place so perfectly. <3

Ooo...and without spoiling anything for Kelsi, I just have to add my two cents about the dragon!Tony name. Since the person who gave Tony his name [i]would[/i] be an aristocratic/highly educated sort, the name could definitely be "impressively Latinate"--of course, if its something impressive that could be [i]nicknamed[/i] somehow by Gibbs, that might work better for everyday use. ^^
