(Heh heh, sorry for the delayed response - got so wrapped up in writing the last few days, I kept forgetting other things I was going to do. Now there is a first for me. o.o)
Bleh, I'm quite glad to hear that I'm not missing anything in Wuthering Heights. I've had occasional thoughts that maybe I ought to give it a try, it being such a classic and all... But man, I just could not find anything to like in that movie. :P
Isn't he just brilliant, though? And yet so very clear and comprehensible, the way he says things. Every time I go back to reading him, it's like a breath of fresh air. And yes, George MacDonald is wonderful too, isn't he? As is Randy Alcorn... Mmm, it's just so wonderful, when you find Christian authors who can infuse their faith into their work so well.
And yes - that is it exactly. Doing whatever you do with all your might. (As I was actually just reading about in another C.S. Lewis essay, recently...) It is amazing at times, the things I've been just astonished to discover that other people have noticed as different, and been interested by. Sometimes it can be the things that feel the least like "real" witnessing that can have the greatest impact...
